Vaney Ice Roller for Face & Eye, Puffiness, Migraine – BuyDermaRollers.com

Have you ever tried a face roller? Whether it’s an ice roller, jade roller or even those cool gua shas? They seem to be everywhere now and although the jury is out if they really do help with wrinkles, I do think there are some great immediate benefits that are worth noting. I was influenced to buy the ice roller from DermaRollingSystem.com. It’s now a favorite beauty tool.

If you’re thinking of buying the ice roller for your face, We’re here to share all the ways we use it (and others!). Plus how to care for it. This is a great purchase and you’ll find yourself using it much more than you anticipate.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably caught wind of the popularity of face rollers. There are a few different kinds, one being the ice roller, which draws on the practice of icing your skin (a form of cryotherapy). Whether with actual ice cubes, refrigerated spoons, or chilled cucumber slices, icing is an age-old skincare approach most people agree that works.

It’s a relatively simple concept—just like we reach for ice packs or frozen peas to reduce swelling from an injury, we can apply cold things to our skin to depuff and minimize redness. Since ice causes your blood vessels to contract, it might also make your pores appear smaller and temporarily tighten your skin.

Thanks to some much-welcome advancements in the beauty industry, icing your skin is much more sophisticated than it used to be. The handy little gadgets we like to call ice rollers are stored in the freezer and can be used on your face, eye area, neck, décolletage, and anywhere else that needs to take a chill pill—no drips, no mess, just a soothed, glowing complexion.

OK, we’re sold! Here, the best ice rollers you can buy today.

Whether you’re a face-icing novice or are looking to step up your at-home cryotherapy game, you can’t go wrong with this roller. The detachable stainless steel head stays cold for two hours out of the freezer. Plus, it’s compact, lightweight, and easy to use—simply glide it across your skin to depuff, calm, and tighten.

When buying an ice roller, you’ll also want to consider the handle. Some options have narrower handles, about the width of a pen, which are fine but less comfortable after a few minutes of use. If you use an ice roller every day or do longer at-home cryo sessions, we suggest getting one with a wider, contoured ergonomic handle.

HOW TO USE ICE ROLLER
The ice roller is super easy to use. You can keep it in your freezer all the time so you can just grab and use it whenever. Or pop it in for 15-2o minutes before you need to use it. I like to store mine in there at all times so I can just pull it out when I need it. You may want to give it a couple minutes to take the harsh cold edge off. I just hold it in my hands for a few seconds. It may not be actualy doing anything, but it somehow feels better!

To use the ice roller, just gently roll it over your face and neck. There are so many great benefits to using it for different ailments. I personally use mine in the morning when I’m puffy and need to look presentable. This is especially true after a night of eating and drinking! It also feels amazing on your eyes when you’re hungover.

Once you’re done rolling your face and neck, just pop it back into the freezer for another time.

Ways to Use The Ice Roller + It’s Benefits
A lot of people who suffer from migraines tend to find it very soothing to apply cold compresses to their head to relieve pain. Keep this handy in your freezer to apply to your head the next time a blinding headache comes around. I personally get sinus headaches and infections rather often and this has helped big time!

If you suffer from hot flashes thanks to menopause (or medication, I got these often with an old birth control formula) get some cooling relief with a little roll on the neck and chest. Heavenly!

Ever wake up after a night of eating salty foods and booze and you’re just a big puffy mess? The ice roller will help to depuff your face and eyes in no time. A few rolls while enjoying your morning cup of coffee will help to bring your face back to normal.

If you’ve been doing more at-home beauty treatments like wax strips to remove hair, or peels for your face, use the ice roller for some cooling relief. IT can also assist in reducing any inflammation. I personally use this face mask and it’s potent, a few rolls of the ice roller over my face afterward gives an immense amount of relief and helps to reduce redness.

If you ever get a bad sunburn, this feels AMAZING on it. Helps to relieve that burning feeling and inflammation.

After use, it is recommended to clean your ice roller. You can easily do this with gentle soap or your face wash to clean off any dirt or oil that can cause breakouts. Be sure to dry the ice roller before putting it back in the freezer.

And since my rose quartz roller is featured in the above photo, I want to answer a few questions about which one is right for you. An ice roller will help with inflammation, redness, reduce puffiness and help to calm the skin. The coldness of the ice roller is what helps with these concerns. For me, the Amazon ice roller for the face is more of a solution to a specific issue at the moment like a headache, puffiness from a night of drinking and so on.

As far as a jade roller or rose quartz roller, rose quartz is a bit stronger of a stone and will last longer than a jade one. Plus, rose quartz will stay cooler longer (I also keep mine in the freezer) and it’s great for getting around the eyes’ more delicate skin. The jade and rose quartz rollers though are better for circulation, has wrinkle-reducing benefits, stimulate collagen production and more. These are good to use every day in a morning routine for best results.

What does an ice roller do?
An ice roller is a cryotherapy tool used to encourage circulation, reduce swelling, minimize redness, soothe irritation, tighten the skin, and restore radiance. Whether with a stainless steel or gel head, the chilled material can be rolled over your entire face, neck, décolletage, and the rest of your body. Some people also say it helps with headaches.

How long should you use an ice roller on your face?
When gliding an ice roller across your face, eye area, jawline, neck, and chest, five to 10-minute sessions are ideal. This is typically long enough to see visible improvement in puffiness, inflammation, redness, and overall skin texture. As long as your skin isn’t irritated, you can go a little longer if needed.

How do you clean an ice roller?
Most gel and stainless steel ice rollers can be cleaned and sanitized with mild soap and warm water. As Murray explains, you can wipe down a stainless steel model with rubbing alcohol without worrying about it rusting. Though freezing will kill most germs, we recommend cleaning your ice roller after every use.

WHAT IS AN ICE ROLLER? WHAT DOES AN ICE ROLLER DO?
An ice roller is pretty much what it sounds like–a facial massager device that you roll over your face. Depending on the model, it can either be filled with water/gel on the inside (like mine is!) so it can withstand cold temperatures, or there is also the stainless steel ice roller so it gets SUPER cold. It’s just personal preference I guess–I have not tried the stainless steel version!

Store it in the freezer for some cold therapy and use it every day as part of your skincare routine or at the very least, keep it in there and pull it out for a spa-like treatment you can do at home!

SHORT-TERM BENEFITS:
There are a lot of benefits to ice rolling! Basically, an ice roller is going to help anything that ice, or massage, would also help. Just in the comfort of your own home and for only $20!

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE AND DE-PUFFING:
You may have heard of lymphatic massage, and this is the same thing, just way cheaper! It aids in increasing blood flow, draining fluid, and therefore, de-puffing your face. This is especially effective on under-eyes right after you’ve woken up. (Especially after a few too many martinis the night before.) It really helps you look and feel more awake, and is a really nice way to start or end the day.

SOOTHES AND REDUCES INFLAMMATION:
If your skin is super inflamed, whether it’s because it’s acting up or right after you’ve had a facial, an ice roller is the BEST way to help it recover. The massage part will stimulate blood flow, soothe your skin and help speed the recovery process and reduce redness. Ice rolling helps constrict blood vessels and reduces the appearance of broken capillaries, too!

HELPS WITH HEADACHES:
A lot of people say ice rolling their temples helps to alleviate headaches! (Again…back to the hangover part, haha!)

ALLEVIATES SORE MUSCLES:
Ice rollers are beneficial for your face and body! They’re great for aches and sore muscles anywhere on your body! Just apply where you’re feeling pain for cold therapy relief!

HELPS PRODUCTS ABSORB MORE EASILY:
This is because ice rollers help stimulate blood flow, and therefore, when used at the end of your skincare routine, they help products absorb even further. (Just make sure you’ve left enough time for them to sink in initially–you don’t want your face oil or eye cream getting all over the roller and wasting it.)

LONG-TERM BENEFITS:
Many say that with regular everyday use over time, ice rollers can help reduce wrinkles and prevent aging. (Honestly, I can’t speak to that, I don’t use mine religiously twice a day.) Basically, I think it’s just worth it for the spa-like experience in itself, but I guess time will tell about the anti-aging part, right?

DOES IT HAVE THE SAME BENEFITS AS THE JADE ROLLER?
Basically, yes. You can put your jade roller in the freezer, too! I just don’t think it stays cold for very long. The jade roller is also smaller, so many people like that better because it can get into the smaller parts of your face better as well. I also have a jade roller from Amazon! (I like to keep it in my makeup bag for when I’m traveling or just too lazy to walk to the freezer.

HOW DO YOU USE AN ICE ROLLER?
You want to make sure you are makeup-free, so do this in the morning and/or at night after you’ve applied your products and allowed them to FULLY absorb.

Take your ice roller out of the freezer. (You can totally remove the little roller part from the handle and only freeze that portion, but I’m lazy, so I just freeze the whole thing!) Start by rolling your face in sections: start near your nose and work outward. I like to roll under my eyes, and then let the ice roller just sit stationary under them for a few seconds for extra de-puffing. I roll it bothup and down and sideways along my cheekbones. Then I follow with my forehead, rolling toward the hairline.

Do this until it gets warmer in temperature or until you feel sufficiently relaxed! Then, you can clean with soap and water, or a wipe, and pop it back in the freezer.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU SQUEEZE A FEW EXTRA ZEN MINUTES INTO YOUR DAY!
